Fruit stand of hard-paste porcelain. At the top of the group is a scalloped oval dish painted internally with two stylised butterflies flying over shrubs, the border with a leaf and flower band in iron red, blue enamel and gilding, all in the Japanese Kakiemon style. On the outside of the dish are further sprays of flowers above a gadrooned and grooved area picked out in bands of gilding and supported by two intertwined naked putti. From the white, round base springs a tree-stump with partially gilt bark.
