Statuette, emblematical of Africa, from a set of the Continents, of white porcelain. The figure, naked except for the end of a heavy mantle thrown over the right thigh, sits looking upward and leaning on his right hand in which he grasps a bow, on the edge of a square pedestal of rough masonry rising from a rococo-scrolled base; his right leg is raised in the air, and in his left hand he holds up an arrow. A crouching lion looks out from a hollow in the base of the pedestal, and at the back of it is a tree-trunk with a few leaves.
