Tea chest with caddies. Carved mahogany with silver plated mounts. The tea chest is of sarcophagus form, the lid composed with bands of acanthus, foliage and egg and dart mouldings. The base has a frieze of blind fret work surmounting strips of arrow and tongue and gadrooned work. The mounts are in the rococo manner consisting of a loop handle, elaborate key escutcheon and standard claw and ball feet.
The interior possesses three removable canisters with zinc linings.
