Bedstead of oak and mahogany decorated with marquetry of Hungarian ash, satinwood, sycamore and holly and enriched with applied carving in sabicue. The head, the upper part of which is partly lunette shaped is in two compartments. The lower one is plain while the upper is divided by moulded bands into a variety of shaped compartments decorated with poppies in marquetry and with water lily leaves and stems in applied carving. The foot is similarly ornamented with marquetry designs of irises and waterlilies. Both the side rails are divided into three compartments decorated with water lilies in marquetry. The feet are slightly splayed
