Gunnar Cyrén is a designer of precise and classical simplicity, producing careful and detailed working drawings for both glass and silver. He has developed two series of elliptical bowls; one series of straightforward boat -shaped forms and the other of thin-walled, slightly tinted bubble-like shapes. In this bowl from the latter series, the fine cut lines define the otherwise elusive surface.
