Vase of soft-paste porcelain painted with enamels and gilded. Amphora-shaped with gilt handles in the form of dragons. The body is painted with gilt scrollwork on a deep blue ground. On one side is an oval medallion with two figures representing Ariel attiring Prospero, a scene from Shakespeare's 'The Tempest'. Gilt gadroons round the base of the body and a square foot.
