Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Figure of a youth with a bird, hard-paste porcelain. He stands on a low, hollow base with wavy cloud-like mouldings marble-tinted in pale purple and blue, and is supported by a tree stump. His right hand holds the bird near his right shoulder, and he looks to the right, while the other (repaired) band is thrown outwards in a mannered gesture. His long white coat with green border lies open to reveal purple lining and a white shirt. He wears knee breeches in pale-yellow with gilt buckles, and a green-bordered hat. The bird speckled with purple. Flesh tints heightened with salmon pink.
