Jacquard woven woollen furnishing fabric with two motifs fitted into 36 inches (91.5 cms). The pattern shows alternating pairs of confronting birds in flight and resting on a leaf. Artichoke motifs separate the two sets of birds motifs with a surrounding floral design of flower buds, sunflower heads and acanthus leaves. Colouring in cream, pink, green and pale blue on a dark blue ground. Three paper tickets are attached to the fabric, two of which are printed with technical details of the textile.

Top and bottom edges of the fabric are overworked in white and blue cotton.
