Sample of handwoven cream-coloured silk and wool with a textured pattern of a grid of small squares formed by the thicker strands of wool loosely spun and enmeshed in the finer silk threads. Possibly intended as furnishing fabric. The sample is attached to a thin sheet of card which has also a fragment of point-paper stuck on it which refers to the weaving.
