Linen, cut and embroidered in satin stitch, French knots, and couched cords, with a ground of needlepoint lace. The repeating, symmetrical pattern is of two curved floral and leafy stems springing from a central device separated by detached similar devices. The fillings are in diaper designs, and the ground is of irregular square mesh. Some leaves and flower centres are filled with a variety of spaced buttonhole fillings. The lower edge is decorated with a simple torchon-like bobbin lace.
