Bobbin lace border worked in linen thread in Italian style. Tape-lace, with the tape having the openwork edges characteristic of 18th century Brussels lace. The tape is arranged in a series of loops which form formal motifs extending the whole width of the lace at intervals. These motifs are completed with various bobbin made fillings. Elsewhere is a strong six-sided mesh ground. The lower edge is bordered by loops of tape.
