Woven furnishing textile sample with a dark, Kingfisher blue background with a 'pineapple' design with green cartouches and leaves, pink berries and additional touches of blue and pale brown. The textile is woven with a turquoise silk and pale and dark brown cotton warp. The weft is of dark brown cotton and natural coloured wool. Apart from the kingfisher blue, the colours are rendered by block printing.
There is a 1/4" selvedge on the left and four metal rings inset along the top. A small paper disc is clipped onto the lower edge with the inscription, '249...A Standard.'
