Furnishing fabric of Jacquard woven wool with a printed wool warp. The warp face of mid-green wool ground has staggered rows of linked sylised thistle heads. These are in two shades of beige wool weft and a binder warp of beige mercerised cotton, with central lobe and petal clusters in warp face wool. Printed before weaving in mid-blue, shading to pale blue and yellow, deepening to yellow ochre. The double warp consists of wool printed before weaving in patches of mid-green, mid-blue to pale blue, yellow to yellow ochre and beige mercerised cotton. The triple weft consists of paired wool yarns in two shades of beige and mid-brown mercerised cotton. The top hem,16.5 inches deep, has eight small curtain rings. The left 1/2 inch selvedge is turned and machine hemmed, the right 1/2 inch selvedge has two lines of fancy braid running along back and front. The bottom has a 2.5 inch machine hem.
