Border of flat needle lace with a repeating patter of letter 'A's' formed from interlace leaves and floral sprays with, between them, stiff floral sprigs.

The leaves and flower heads are patterned with fine, looped mesh and with some tiny raised roundels. The bars of the irregular hexagonal ground are over sewn in buttonhole stitch and are decorated with picots.

The upper edge is straight and the lower edge has slightly pointed scallops.
