Border of 2 pieces of white silk satin, stitched together, and applied with motifs cut from (probably) a furnishing of linen blackwork. The motifs include trees, flowers, birds,animals such as lion, dog, stag, horse, insects, and human figures, such as a hunter and a bearded draped figure of a man. Also applied are blackwork borders in the shape of a zig-zagged ribbon. All the appliqués are outlined with couched white silk floss.
