Plate of hard-paste porcelain, painted in enamels and gilt. In the middle are the arms of Lord Nelson, and on the rim are the words "Nelson, San Josef" and "Nelson, Aboukir" in gold. The inscriptions on the rim are separated by oak-leaves and acorns in panels.

Object history
It was previously attributed to be made by the factory of Flight and Barr about 1802, as part of a service made for presentation to Lord Nelson (whose arms it bears) after the battle of Copenhagen. (See references)
