Punch bowl of earthenware transfer-printed in brown, painted in colours and gilded in imitation of Japanese Imari porcelain. Supported on a high foot. Decorated inside and outside with panels of ornamental sprays of flowers and butterflies, irregularly distributed over the surface. The decoration is printed in brown outline, filled in with painting in dark blue and shades of red and with gilding.
