Bowl of fritware painted with black, blue and white enamels. Narrow foot with deep foot-ring and shallow convex sides. Inside, on a ground of blue slip, are eight-pointed stars outlined in white slip with white rosettes in the middle. The cross-shaped background between the stars is hatched in black, and blue circles fill the centre of the crosses. On the reverse is a running foliage pattern in underglaze blue in the Chinese style.
