The Bow factory specialised in functional tea and dining wares painted in underglaze blue and intended for daily use. Examples with transfer-printing in underglaze blue are rare, perhaps because of technical problems with the factory's body or glaze. This design was also used at the Derby and Bristol porcelain factories.
