Plate, high-fired earthenware (vitramic) with central decoration in polychrome enamel. Circular plate with four bands of undecorated beige vitramic around a raised rim. Central patterrn a historiated 'C' in the style of an illuminated manuscript with a nativity scene in polychrome and gilding. The 'C' is set within a square with a latticework pattern surrounded by a circle whose spandrels are decorated with garlands of michaelmas daisy. Marks: Christmas Plate 1979.
