In 1759, a porcelain manufactory was established in Weesp in North Holland, by Count van Gronsveld-van Diepenbroick-Impel (1715-1771), a Dutch envoy at the court of Frederick the Great in Berlin. The count had been able to study the porcelain factory there, and upon his return established his own factory specialising in useful wares. By 1768, the factory was bankrupt and closed.
