Brief description
Red earthenware moulded in relief with a rosette and covered with a greenish-yellow glaze. Found on the site of the Cistercian nummery at North Berwick. Made at the Bawsey tilery in Norfolk, English, 14th century.

Found on the site of the Cistercian Nunnery at North Berwick. Given by Prof. S. Wilson, FRS. Transferred from the Museum of Practical Geology, Jermyn Street.
Historical context
The original acquisition records state that this tile was found on the site of the Cistercian nunnery in North Berwick. However, J. Ward Perkins thought this to be highly unlikely
