Object history
Registered File number 1985/750. The cotton was originally used as upholstery on the seat of a couch and was removed by the donor who is a dealer in late 19th century artifacts. Tack-holes are visible along one uneven edge.

Lewis F. Day was Artistic Director of Turnbull and Stockdale at this period and this design is likely to have been one of the earliest of his design printed at the firm's Rosebank Print Works in Ramsbottom, Lancashire.
