Place of origin |
Popular games of the kind played in public houses have often been adapted to children's games, two examples being darts and shove ha'penny. This game, however, is rather sophisticated and may well have been devised for adults rather than children. The set has 38 cards showing a dart board with a score and 15 cards with amusing illustrations and directions for play. It is a good game to play to improve ones adding and subtracting skills.

Such games are not always shown in the same manner and Dartex is rather sophisticated and may well have been devised for adults rather than children, although either could play. Certainly children would brush up their adding and subtracting skills. Games & Puzzles, CGG, 1991. |
