Originally a painter, Enid Marx joined the textile workshop of Phyllis Barron and Dorothy Larcher in 1925. She subsequently set up her own workshop in Hampstead where she continued to produce textiles until 1939. Most of her block-printed designs are characterised by their purity of colour and bold, abstract pattern repeats.
