Furnishing fabric of beige silk warp with a coarser mid-yellow rayon weft forming a broken twill ground. The pattern consists of a striped, vertical 'wave band', which meanders along the left edge. From left to right the stripes are brocaded in royal blue, turquoise, pale turquoise and lemon rayon. They terminate in irregular scrolls, which reach almost to the right selvedge on the lower hem, and regular scrolls on the upper hem.
