Textile design was amongst the subjects Terence Conran studied while he was a student at the Central School of Art and Design. His work was quickly picked up by David Whitehead who was aiming to revitalise his company’s output for the modern contemporary market. This pattern design was used for a display by David Whitehead Ltd. at the Festival of Britain and was later adapted for use on ceramics.
