Woven silk and metal thread. This ribbon consisting of three warp threads 1) The large red leaves in gros de tour, the red warp thread has been cut to create a pile imitating a ciselé velvet effect. The outline of the large red leaves is also woven in gros de tour, but this remains uncut. The red warp has also been used for the smaller red leaves; 2) A warp ground of cream taffeta weave visible in the centre of the ribbon; 3) Brown warp in cannetille weave flanking the cream centre. Metal file thread brocaded throughout as are the light green leaves.
