The game is made up of 44 action cards arranged in ten sets of four, numbered 2 to 11 plus four cards, two each with the letters F and G.
The game is played in the same way as Happy Families; the aim is to collect different cards to form a complete set. The cards in 'Goal' have pictures of British football players, team names, team emblems and mottoes, ground names and nicknames and the different playing positions.
