Textile fragment of brocaded silk with a cream taffeta ground with a self-coloured pattern forming cartouches within which are small floral motifs. These are alternately in red or pink and mauve and pink, and have foliage in two shades of green. There is no complete repeat in the length and the silk is made up from two fragments.

Brocaded taffeta with a flushing weft. ca. 66 warp threads to cm. Découpure of 2. Cords in design 12.6 x 66 divided by 2 equals 12.6 x 33. ca. 416, ie. probably 400 cords.
