DIRECTIONS FOR PLAYING
The Pool cards are to be taken from the pack and placed in the middle of the table.
Four cards are to be dealt to each player, with their faces downwards.
The dealer must put one counter on each of the pool cards, Maid Marian, Allan a Dale, Friar Tuck and Little John, and two counters on King Richard.
A player commences the game by turning up one of his cards, the other players following in succession, beginning at the left hand.
Any of the Merry Men as turned up are to be kept by the player until a Bugle Horn is played, when it must be transferred to this player, and so on all round the table until Robin Hood is turned up, when the player of it takes all the Merry Men turned up and may demand one counter from each player. If Robin Hood is not turned up, the men are not to be paid.
if a player turns up a Bugle Horn before Robin Hood or any of his Merry Men have been played it does not count.
The player of any of the corresponding cards to the Pool cards may take the counters on the pool card.
When King Richard is turned up the game is ended, and the player may take all the counters in the cetre of the table.
If the Game Card should not be turned up, the cads must be shuffled again for a fresh deal, which must be taken in succession by the players, each dressing the Pool cards as at first.
The holders of any cards not turned up when the game is taken, must pay one counter for each card they have remaining to Robin Hood, if turned up; or if not, to the Pool for the next deal.
As the directions are printed on the other cards, further instructions respecting them weill not be necessary.
