Fragment of brocaded silk. The ground is a woven silk with cream warp and pale red weft. Additional patterns have been brocaded in white and green silk and in red, white and green chenille. The design is dominated by two waving stems which run along the length of the fabric, white silk and red chenille blossoms fill the spaces. Might have been used as a sleeve trimming.
