Furnishing fabric of duplex roller-printed cotton in grey and white. The design shows a stylised pattern of irises with curving stems on a spotted ground. The design is picked out in white on a grey ground.

Now quite faded and worn, the sample is irregular in shape with a machine sewn edge to the lower side seam and edge. All edges are raw and no selvedges are present. The pattern repeat size is 15' x 16' (38 x 38.7 cm) and the sample shows one full repeat centrally placed.
