Object history
Four games can be played on this compendium which folds various ways to produce the correct playing surface for each game.
Historical context
Rules:
The games are as follows and would be played by the normal rules and would require the appropriate equipment, such as markers and dice.

1. THE GRAND RACE GAME - - steeplechase showing 100 numbered spaces in an oval design with the title and an illustration in the centre and silhouette drawings in the corners. On the playing surface are four illustrations showing obstacles.
2. a board of 14 x 14 squares, each bearing an X and printed in red and black on cream. It is probably for a game like ALQUERQUE.
3. DRAUGHTS BOARD, both the outer panels show a checkered board of 8 x 4 squares which when folded together form a standard Draughts board.
4. CHESS BOARD, the same board used for the Draughts would be used for Chess.
