Furnishing fabric of triple-pile velvet. The design is inspired by a 15th or 16th century velvet with a pineapple and meandering branch design. Woven in black and a mixture of black and golden-yellow silk on a golden-yellow silk ground in three layers of pile. The pile is woven into a foundation of black, yellow and bright pink-red silk which is woven in a flat web at either end. There are wide selvedges of black striped at the edge with cream.
