Furnishing fabric of dull black silk warp with a coarser bronze rayon weft forming a 2/2 twill ground. A formalised border is brocaded in black and scarlet rayon. The border has a central band of linked ovoids decorated with foliate tracery and is contained within lines of elongated lozenges.
