Furnishing fabric, sample strip, made of hand-woven rayon and silk. Mid-blue silk warp with a coarser magenta rayon weft forming a vertical 2/2 reversed waved twill. Brocaded in red rayon along the left hand edge is part of a 12.5 inches wide border which consists of a broad chevron striped hand topped by half stylised flower, both contained within narrow stripes.

Ruth Lodge's monogram is woven into the band containing the flower motif.
