Oblong snuff box, enamel on copper, transfer-printed in black. On the lid is a seaport scene, with a man-at-war at anchor, warehouses on a quay and wharfingers. The sides are printed respectively with: a river scene with a church on one bank, houses on the other, and man in a punt; a view in Venice, with gondolas and churches. On the bottom is a print of inferior execution, the subject of a boy with a lamb and panther. Inside the lid is printed a three-quarter length figure of a lady seated by a table with an open music book, listening to the song of a bird perched on the top of a cage. With a chased gilt metal mount.
