Ivan Weiss began his career working as an overglaze painter at Royal Copenhagen in 1962. On this piece, he combined two traditional Asian glazes: rich red ox-blood and soft green celadon. This bowl was among the last pieces fired in Royal Copenhagen's coal-fired kilns before they were dismantled.
