Fire screen panel, handpainted and embroidered silk depicting a woman in a wide-brimmed hat and blue high-waisted dress feeding sheep while leaning against a country gate, foliage behind her. The sheep's wool and the foliage picked out in small knots, the rest of the picture embroidered in long fine needlestrokes. Framed and glazed in a heavy wooden frame with heavy brass rings and metal fitting on the back for attaching to a pole stand for a fire screen
