Paper box (bunko) of rectangular form and with rounded corners, decorated with a scene of flowering wild cherry (yamazakura) trees, rocks and banks by a stream, with the theme and techniques being continued round the sides of the box in gold and silver hiramaki-e and takamaki-e lacquer, with kirikane, and with hirame on a black lacquer ground. The inside of the lid continues the subject and techniques, except that it is on a nashi-ji lacquer ground, with the rest of the interior being in nashi-ji lacquer.
