Object history
This dress was specially designed and made for Pamela Taylor, who worked for Horrockses, by her employers. She wore it to marry Keith Ashworth in 1954 at St Cuthbert's Church, Southport, Lancashire. The sleeves of the dress were later removed to enable the dress to be worn as an evening dress.
