Ltd (Wear Glass Works) Gift of makers (C.124 &A-1935) In 1921 the British manufacturing rights for Pyrex glass were bought from Corning, U.S.A, by James A Jobling. This casserole (factory ref. no. A800X, 2 1/2 pint size, price 8/3d during, probably, the 1930s) is from the standard range by an un-named staff designer. It was produced from about 1928 and by 1939 was also made with cut decoration. It was guaranteed against breakage in the oven. .(18/06/2009)

In 1921 the British manufacturing rights for Pyrex glass were bought from Corning, U.S.A, by James A Jobling. This casserole (factory ref. no. A800X, 2 1/2 pint size, price 8/3d during, probably, the 1930s) is from the standard range by an un-named staff designer. It was produced from about 1928 and by 1939 was also made with cut decoration. It was guaranteed against breakage in the oven.
