| Object history | Purchased from Alastair Pilkington fund. The stone was found in Derbyshire on the Cheshire border. Alastair Hobson's family comes from this area and she therefore regards it as her ancestral home. This is the last work in pâte-de-verre by Hobson and is a transition work leading to her next series. Shown in Los Angeles, 'Seven Steps' exhibition, 1990; Dublin, Butler Gallery, Kilkenny Castle, 'Language of Light' exhibition, 1996. |
