Object history | Intended for sweets or honey, this 'bonbon' globe was ordered by the Museum from the Exhibition of Swedish Industrial Art (see 9524). The glass is extremely thin and has been engraved overall with a very high degree of skill. Gerda Strömberg (1879-1960) was self-taught. She worked at Eda glassworks from 1927-33 where her husband was manager. In 1933 they moved to Lindfors Glasbruk, renaming it Strömbergshyttan. |
