This print depicts the Prime Minister, Earl Grey, leading his Cabinet of Whig ministers into a chasm inscribed 'Reform', cheered on by a crowd of demonic figures. The print expresses opposition to the 'Great Reform Act', passed in 1832 (the same year this print was published), which improved and broadened electoral representation in the United Kingdom.
