1915 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

The decorative bib is cut from one width of bright magenta satin weave silk and edged with a deep frill of pale blue plain weave cotton. Where the frill joins the magenta silk, a black and white scalloped woven trimming (different from that on the jacket) has been applied with red tacking stitches. This trimming also edges a horizontal pocket opening in the middle of the bib. The silk is embroidered with flowers in twisted embroidery thread predominantly in satin stitch, and above the pocket four characters are embroidered.
The bib is lined with a deep pink plain weave fabric.
