Kimono of the type called michiyuki a three-quarter length coat for wearing over the top of another kimono. It has a square shape neckline and press-stud fastenings. Otherwise it is the standard kimono cut. There is a shop or production line label inside the back of the neck.
The silk from which it is made is bright purple, self-patterned with a design of horizontal lines.
The lining which is plain weave pink silk extends across the sleeves and down beyond the waist but does not reach the hem. There are ties made of the lining to keep the inside section from dropping open.
