Marks and inscriptions
  • The front is lettered with 'lush / Gala', the recording credits for the different songs and the title of the album they were originally released on ('Sweetness and Light', 'Mad Love' and 'Scar').
  • The back of the sleeve is lettered with the band name, names of the band members, 'thank yous', pubishing details, design and photography credits and the 4AD catalogue number 'CAD 0017'.
  • The inside of the record sleeve is printed with a design incorporated the name of the band
Object history
This compilation was released in America in 1990 to introduce Lush to the American market. It comprises of the band's first three EPs (in reverse chronological order) plus two additional tracks. The compilation was also released by 4AD in the UK.
