'Folk Archive' is a collection of the visual ephemera of Britain today, from murals and graffiti to souped-up cars and motorcycle hearses. Over the course of seven years, Jeremy Deller and Alan Kane collected objects and photographs of places, customs, and things that they propose 'might constitute modern day folk art.' Deller has stated: 'Warhol said that pop art was about liking things, whereas for me folk art is about loving things.' The archive was exhibited at the Barbican Art Gallery in 2005, and has since toured to other venues in the UK, Switzerland and Japan.
